Welcome to Team Takedown!

Team Takedown is a training team of amateur Wrestlers, based in Melbourne, Australia.

Our Wrestling syllabus includes the Olympic styles of Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling, and the non-Olympic Wrestling style of Grappling. Our sessions involve instructional drilling, live wrestling practice, and a high level of cardiovascular fitness, with a strong emphasis on safety.

Team Takedown is a Member of Wrestling Victoria, Wrestling Australia, and the Australian Federation of Brasilian Jiu Jitsu. Team members have the opportunity to compete regularly in National and International Wrestling competitions under the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA).

Our Wrestling Coach is an accredited Level 1 Wrestling Coach with the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme of the Australian Sports Commission.

He has represented Australia in Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling, and coached Wrestling in the Australian Football League.
